I know that Pyro doesn't have a gender (yet) that we know of, but i have more proof that it is most likely male instead of female like what people think Pyro is (not everybody)Īlso i did not know this but there is a older TFC pyro model that is also a man, to a female voiceĪlso i think the reason why they changed TFC Pyro into a women is because valve knows about the fanbase and wants to tease them with what's Pyro's gender. They all have the same voice for calling for medic in that game, and if Pyro in that game was a female, wouldn't they change the voice?. I said that the TFC Pyro was a man before the comics, they just changed the gender

As for my ping, I can't be sure because the game is constantly unresponsively laggy on servers- I joined one local server, checked and it was about 30, but on training mode, which is offline apart from item servers (as far as I know), it's constantly at 0.Originally posted by Walter Clements:Pyro doesn't have a cannon gender. Thanks for the advice, I tried, and my FPS drops a little but remains roughly the same. If the ping value is normal but the FPS value is lower, your problem lies in the game itself.īased on the information you've provided, I'm leaning towards it being an issue with network ping spiking, but a FPS issue is also possible. If the ping value is higher than normal and the FPS value is around the same, it's a network problem. When you see lag, check those two values. Some data (should) appear on the bottom center of your screen. Type it exactly like that, without the period at the end, and with the space in the middle. You should put this command into the dev console: net_graph 1. However, ping spikes are sometimes a problem with low quality DSL lines. Since you said you're using local servers, I doubt network lag is an issue. Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU Q720 1.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.60GHzĭoes anyone know why this is happening or how I can compensate/fix the problem?

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, build 7600) I have checked my ping, and it generally floats between 50 and 80. And it's only the server that's unresponsive, everything else like pausing, opening up my loadout and such is fine. When I play the game on training mode, it runs quite well, with only the occasional bouts of minor stuttering, but when I play on a server, filtered to be only hosted in the game country as me and only with latency of <50, with all my graphical settings as the game itself recommends for me, it becomes almost completely unresponsive. This problem has been happening since I installed the game I just haven't addressed it until now.

I'm not talking about a low FPS that just annoyed me, I'm talking about being unable to move from spawn, melee attacks just repeating the first half second of the animation over and over again, and weapon switches and messages typed into the chat taking at least a minute to register. However, to my horror, the game was laggy to the point of being unplayable. I played through a few of the training stages, and after about an hour or so of mucking about and seeing what stuff there was, I decided to go play on a server. So, anyway, a few months ago, I installed TF2. I'm not entirely sure if this is in the right section.
